Shine On Event Celebrates History And Supporters

Solar Cookers International  – the highly regarded, Sacramento-based humanitarian organization – is having its annual Shine On event July 10th at the Sierra 2 Center in Curtis Park. This is an exciting opportunity to mobilize and thank around 250 area residents passionate about our mission of promoting the use of solar cookers to cook food and pasteurize water for the benefit of people and environments through advocacy, humanitarian assistance, education resources and international development programs.

This is also a time to learn more about solar cooking and how to save some money and help the environment. News10 Chief Meteorologist, Monica Woods, will be the guest speaker. Along with refreshments, there will be auction items including artwork and organic produce deliveries.
