Elderly Sacramento woman hit by car, dies | Crime

SACRAMENTO, CA - An elderly woman was hit by a car and killed while walking her dog Wednesday around 4:29 p.m.

The woman was crossing South Land Park Drive on the 6000 block when she was hit by a 28-year-old driving a black sedan, Sacramento police Sgt. Andrew Pettit said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later died, Pettit said.

It was unclear if the driver was charged or cited for the incident.
